We believe energy exists to help people. To enrich the lives of everyone we serve. Whether we're volunteering at your local urban farm, enrolling customers on a limited income in energy assistance programs, or providing funding for weatherization services to make western MO more energy efficient, serving others remains at the heart of what we do.
Through our Spire Serves program, we're dedicated to supporting organizations that make life better for everyone. We focus on health and human services, civic and community development, as well as education and the environment, providing non-profit funding and volunteer opportunities for employees.
Congratulations to NourishKC, our 2023 InSpire Award winner!

Through partnerships with organizations like the Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City, Spire provides funding to help local families access energy assistance and weatherization services when they need it most.
Spire's dedicated team of community support specialists works with agencies throughout western Missouri to ensure customers with limited incomes have access to energy assistance.
Last year, we provided funding for community action agencies to provide weatherization services that make homes more energy-efficient.
In fiscal year 2021, Spire energy efficiency programs provided more than $1M in residential and commercial rebates for customers in western MO. By choosing more energy-efficient natural gas appliances, the impact equates to a reduction of 3,341 Metric Tons of CO2.
