Spire provides assistance to customers impacted by St. Louis area flooding

Spire will suspend disconnections through Sept. 30, 2022, for those impacted

ST. LOUIS (August 9, 2022) — Today, Spire announced it is voluntarily suspending disconnections through September 30th, 2022, for customers in the St. Louis and St. Charles areas who were impacted by recent flash flooding. In addition, there will be no service reconnection fees for these impacted customers. 

To further assist in relief efforts after the recent record-breaking rainfall, Spire is donating $15,000 to The American Red Cross of Greater St. Louis.

“So many lives were touched by the floods, and we want to take action to help,” said Scott Carter, Spire Missouri President. “We know that getting back on your feet during any devastating and unanticipated event can take some time. That’s why we want to ease the burden our customers and communities are facing.” 

Rebates and financing options are also available to help customers replace their natural gas appliances as they begin to recover from the storms’ impact.
