Whether we're volunteering at your local urban farm, enrolling customers on a limited income in energy assistance programs, or providing funding for weatherization services to make western MO more energy efficient, serving others remains at the heart of what we do.

Through our Spire Serves program, we're dedicated to supporting organizations that make life better for everyone. We focus on health and human services, civic and community development, as well as education and the environment, providing non-profit funding and volunteer opportunities for employees.

Nourish KC

NourishKC provides healthy, nutritious meals to those in need, delivering critical assistance to our most vulnerable citizens and, in doing so, strengthening our community. The programs supported by NourishKC ensure that fresh food that might otherwise be wasted, is redirected to feed the hungry.

Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity

Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity recently opened a new headquarters at Hiram Young School. We're especially grateful to support the Spire Community Kitchen, which will serve as a gathering place for new homeowners and others to hone their culinary skills and cook nutritious meals while experiencing the convenience, reliability and affordability of natural gas.

Children's Mercy

A group of Spire volunteers helped Kansas City's Children's Mercy Hospital plant fruit trees in its healing garden.

Forest ReLeaf of Missouri

Working with Forest ReLeaf of Missouri, Spire provided funding for the purchase, delivery and planting of 1000 trees in Missouri communities that were impacted by construction work and severe weather.

Missouri River Relief

Teams of employees, in partnership with Missouri River Relief, boarded boats to help remove trash and flood debris along the banks of the Missouri River in western Missouri.

Drumm Farm Center for Children

Spire employees spent their Day for Good at Drumm Farm Center for Children, building stages and fences for the children to enjoy.

Habitat for Humanity

Volunteers in Kansas City, MO did interior and exterior repairs to a Habitat for Humanity home project.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Whether it's gardening, doing exterior repairs or preparing food, Spire employees in the Kansas City area enjoy volunteering with Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Through partnerships with organizations like the Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City, Spire provides funding to help local families access energy assistance and weatherization services when they need it most.

Energy efficiency programs

In fiscal year 2021, Spire energy efficiency programs provided more than $1M in residential and commercial rebates for customers in western MO. By choosing more energy-efficient natural gas appliances, the impact equates to a reduction of 3,341 Metric Tons of CO2
