Cooking up life skills in Mobile
No

There’s a new place in town where food entrepreneurs can hone their craft. The Continental Commissary Kitchen is a shared kitchen incubator space, designed to help community members develop business acumen and to provide food entrepreneurs access to the commercial kitchen space needed to succeed.

The project was initially funded through the US department of treasury's ARPA funds through the Mobile County Commission, and then established by the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast (HABAGC). The facility features meeting and learning spaces and a fully-certified commercial kitchen. With the goal of providing positive economic impact for individuals who use the space and the community, the space was designed to increase cultural richness to the south Alabama community by introducing new cuisines and help small businesses succeed and grow.
